The Black Dog Drip Blend is built for balance, using a washed Colombia to provide a reliable, sweet foundation of caramel and toasted nuts. We’ve layered in a washed Ethiopia Guji for its clean, stone-fruit acidity and a natural Sidama to add a plush, jammy depth. This combination moves away from the typical "muddiness" of many blends, instead offering a clear and vibrant profile that works just as well for a focused pour-over as it does for a standard morning pot.
The cup opens with a classic sweetness of caramel and milk chocolate from the Colombian component, quickly followed by a bright, crisp acidity. The Guji introduces refined notes of peach and Meyer lemon, while the natural Sidama rounds out the experience with a rich, wild berry sweetness. As the coffee cools, it maintains a silky mouthfeel and a clean finish of soft florals. It’s a straightforward, high-quality brew that emphasizes the natural fruit and sugar of these specific lots without any of the heavy-handedness often found in darker blends.
